The European Commission appointed Paulina Dejmek Hack as Director-General of the Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (DG FISMA), effective Oct. 1, 2026. She will lead the department responsible for financial stability, financial services and the development of EU capital markets. Dejmek Hack was previously DG FISMA Deputy Director-General and earlier served as its Director for General Affairs. Her more than 25 years of experience also includes senior roles supporting Commissioners Jessika Roswall and Michel Barnier, former Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and the task force managing relations with the United Kingdom.
