The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has extended its Consultation Agreement with the Financial Markets Standards Board (FMSB) for three years to Sept. 25, 2029. The agreement supports cooperation on global standards and operational practices for wholesale financial market intermediaries in Australia. The extension will allow FMSB to continue consulting ASIC on draft standards, guidance and other publications, while providing the regulator with periodic updates on its strategy. ASIC’s participation does not constitute endorsement of FMSB publications, and industry standards do not replace obligations under Australian law.
