The State Bank of Vietnam announced that the Prime Minister has transferred and appointed Nguyen Ngoc Canh, Deputy Chairman of the Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises, as a Deputy Governor of the central bank, effective 1 March 2025. The appointment was made under the Prime Minister’s Decision 338/QD-TTg dated 19 February 2025 and was formally presented by Governor Nguyen Thi Hong at a ceremony in Hanoi. Nguyen Ngoc Canh previously held senior roles at the State Securities Commission and at the State Bank of Vietnam, including Director General of the Foreign Exchange Management Department and Assistant to the Governor, before serving as Deputy Chairman of the state capital management commission from August 2020 to February 2025.

Canh, previously Deputy Chairman of the Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises, has held senior roles at the State Securities Commission and the State Bank of Vietnam.
