The Isle of Man Treasury, as sponsoring body for the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority, has invited applications for four new members to join the Authority’s board, with terms of office of up to five years starting in Spring 2026. Following a review of applications, it is anticipated that one successful candidate will be appointed as Chair of the Board from 1 July 2026 and act as Chair-designate until that date. Board members are expected to work with the Authority’s senior executive to set strategic direction and oversee delivery of the regulator’s objectives, including consumer protection, reducing financial crime and maintaining confidence in the Island’s finance sector. Appointments are made by the Treasury subject to approval of Tynwald, and applicants are encouraged from on- and off-Island candidates with a strong track record, with desirable knowledge in areas including insurance, banking, regulatory and corporate governance, financial management and restructuring, and human resources. Applications close at 11:59pm on Tuesday 16 December 2025.
