The State Bank of Vietnam announced the Governor’s organisational and personnel decisions for its Regional Branch 2, appointing Võ Minh Tuấn as director and confirming the branch’s revised operating model, which has been running since 1 July 2025. Decisions were also presented for the branch’s chief inspector and department heads. Regional Branch 2 is tasked with managing and implementing monetary, credit and foreign-exchange policy across Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai. The area includes more than 700 branches of credit institutions and accounts for 31% of nationwide deposit mobilisation and 32% of outstanding credit; the Governor instructed the branch to prioritise cash and vault operations, maintain smooth payment connectivity, and strengthen inspection and supervision alongside policy implementation. For the second half of 2025, the branch said it will follow State Bank of Vietnam and local government directions to deploy monetary and banking policies and meet regional demand for credit and banking services.

The branch, covering Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai, oversees monetary, credit, and foreign-exchange policy, managing over 700 credit institution branches. It will prioritize cash operations, payment connectivity, and inspection while aligning with State Bank and local government directives for the latter half of 2025.
