The State Bank of Vietnam has opened the second class of its 2026 leadership development program for regional branch officials at the Banking Academy in Hanoi. The program is aimed at current deputy directors of regional branches and staff identified as potential candidates for regional branch director and deputy director roles, with the stated purpose of standardizing leadership positions and strengthening management capacity across the central bank's regional network. The second class includes 45 participants. Under a governor's decision issued on May 29, 2026, the program is being delivered in two classes at the Banking Academy, running from June 1 to 5, 2026 and from June 15 to 19, 2026. The curriculum covers core State Bank of Vietnam management areas and leadership skills for regional branch officials, with teaching provided by State Bank of Vietnam leaders, heads of departments and units, and practitioners with operational experience. At the opening ceremony, the State Bank of Vietnam also announced the class committee to support the organization and administration of the course. The second class is scheduled to run through June 19, 2026.
