The Central Bank of Russia reported that its spring Coin Week in April 2026 returned 55 million coins to circulation with a total value of nearly RUB 252 million. The amount was RUB 7 million higher than in the autumn campaign, and people brought in two tonnes more coins than last time. Coins were exchanged not only at banks and stores but also at the ticket offices of certain suburban railway stations. Ruble coins made up 86.7% of the total returned, with kopeck coins accounting for 13.3%. Some participating locations continue to accept coins after Coin Week, with addresses and acceptance terms available on the campaign website.
