Brazil's National Treasury announced that the 12th National Financial Education Week (Semana ENEF 2025) will take place from 12 to 18 May 2025, centred on the theme “Financial Education for Children and Young People: Preparing Society for Conscious Choices”. Organised by the Brazilian Forum for Financial Education (FBEF), the week is intended to mobilise public and private institutions and schools around free initiatives covering financial, insurance, pensions and tax education. Institutions from all sectors are invited to run their own activities or partner with FBEF members, with suggested activities including basic finance education from an early age, training for educators, and initiatives that promote dialogue in schools and families and encourage healthy financial habits among young people. The theme is presented as guidance rather than a constraint, but activities are expected to follow the National Financial Education Strategy guidelines, including prioritising the public interest and prohibiting the offering of products and services. Information on how to register initiatives in the official event agenda will be published shortly, and organisations are encouraged to start planning their actions.
