The National Bank of Belgium has announced that Filiz Korkmazer has been appointed by royal decree to its Board of Directors for a six-year term starting on 1 September 2026. The appointment follows a proposal from the National Bank of Belgium’s Council of Regency. The attached Belgian Official Gazette notice describes the role as director of the National Bank of Belgium and states that the appointment replaces Steven Vanackere, whose mandate as director ended on 1 January 2025.

The National Bank of Belgium announced that Filiz Korkmazer has been appointed by royal decree to its Board of Directors for a six-year term starting on 1 September 2026. The appointment, proposed by the Council of Regency and published in the Belgian Official Gazette, replaces former director Steven Vanackere, whose mandate ended on 1 January 2025.
