The Federal Reserve Board announced that Kevin Warsh took the oath of office as chairman and as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. In the same update, the Federal Open Market Committee unanimously selected Warsh as its chairman. Warsh was nominated by President Donald J. Trump on March 4, 2026. The United States Senate confirmed him to serve as a member of the Board on May 12 and as chairman of the Board on May 13. His term as chairman runs until May 21, 2030, and his term as a member of the Board runs until January 31, 2040.
