The Hong Kong Monetary Authority published a release in which the Hong Kong Academy of Finance announced the admission of 22 senior executives to its Financial Leaders Programme 2026. The cohort spans banking, insurance, investment banking and asset management, professional services, and financial regulatory bodies. Launched in 2022, the programme targets senior executives typically one or two levels below chief executive officer and is designed to build leadership capabilities, deepen understanding of financial issues from macro and systemic perspectives, and expand professional networks through engagement with senior leaders across sectors. Across the first four cohorts, 86 participants from nearly 50 public and private institutions have graduated; applications for the 2026 intake ran from 12 November to 14 December 2025, with the Academy’s Membership Committee approving 22 candidates following a competitive selection process.
