The latest statistical report continues the authority’s monitoring of investor grievances, with credit institutions accounting for 73% of complaints and the Complaints Book serving as the main submission channel for 62%. Order execution remained the leading complaint category at 32%, although its share fell by about eight percentage points from a year earlier. Safekeeping of financial instruments accounted for 19%, while costs and charges rose six percentage points to 17%. Shares were involved in 42% of complaints, and complaints concerning contracts for difference increased to 7%. The CMVM closed 175 complaints, 34% more than a year earlier, while reducing the median processing time by 22 days to 57 calendar days. Respondent entities satisfied investors’ claims in 37% of reviewed cases, while 58% were resolved against the complainant. No respondent has failed to provide redress after the CMVM found for an investor since 2021.
