The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has extended until 15 September 2026 the suspension of its 2022 resolution setting a temporary procedure for conducting transactions with the Kazakh tenge. The extension was adopted through amendments to the National Bank’s 2025 board resolution that had suspended the 2022 temporary procedure. The suspended framework applies to commercial banks, exchange bureaus, and microfinance and microcredit companies in the Kyrgyz Republic.
