The International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation announced it will launch a new ePub product for accessing IFRS Accounting Standards, introducing a digital format intended to replace existing PDF offerings and progressively reduce reliance on most bound volumes. The ePub format is designed to support interactive note-taking, annotations and highlighting, alongside mobile-optimised viewing, offline access, improved bookmarking and search. The first releases planned in the coming weeks are IFRS Accounting Standards (Issued 1 January 2025), IFRS Accounting Standards (Required 1 January 2025), IFRS for SMEs Accounting Standard Third Edition, and the IFRS for SMEs Accounting Standard Third Edition (Spanish). In 2026, the Foundation expects all major IFRS Accounting Standards publications (Issued, Required, Annotated Issued and Annotated Required) to be available as ePubs instead of PDFs. Bound volumes will no longer be available for Issued and Required publications, but will continue for Annotated Issued and Annotated Required publications.
