The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision has published Regulatory Consistency Assessment Programme reports on implementation of its leverage ratio framework in six jurisdictions. Australia, Japan, Korea and Switzerland received the highest overall grade of compliant, while Canada and the United Kingdom were rated largely compliant, one notch below the highest grade. The reports conclude the first round of multi-jurisdictional leverage ratio assessments. The United Kingdom’s rating is consistent with its earlier largely compliant assessments for the Net Stable Funding Ratio and large exposures framework. The Committee also initiated assessments of Basel III revisions to risk-weighted assets in the first half of 2026 and continues to assess leverage ratio implementation.
