The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority reported that the Commissioner of Insurance, Dr. Baghayo A. Saqware, participated in Eastern and Southern Africa Anti-Money Laundering Group ministerial and senior officials meetings and an AML/CFT public–private dialogue in Addis Ababa. The sessions covered the region’s efforts to strengthen financial integrity and governance and to advance compliance with international AML/CFT standards. Member States reviewed the Financial Action Task Force activity report and discussed progress under the International Cooperation Review Group process, emphasising collective action to safeguard regional economies.
