The Reserve Bank of Fiji has launched a dedicated Confidential Disclosure section on its website, giving the public a confidential channel to report suspected underground banking and other unlicensed financial services, including virtual asset-related activities. The reporting channel covers suspected breaches involving unlicensed foreign currency exchange operations, unauthorised Money Value Transfer Services or remittance channels, the provision of virtual assets and the activities of Virtual Asset Service Providers in Fiji, and the marketing or facilitation of virtual asset products and services. Disclosures are submitted using a downloadable form and can be sent electronically or by post, with acknowledgements issued on receipt and follow-up contact possible where necessary. The Reserve Bank of Fiji stated that disclosures will be handled confidentially in accordance with applicable laws, that it may not provide feedback on investigation outcomes, and that intentionally false or malicious submissions are prohibited.
