The National Bank of Ukraine published an update on its special fundraising account for Ukraine’s defence forces, reporting that more than UAH 3.8 billion was transferred from the account in September 2025. As of 1 October 2025, the balance on the account was almost UAH 4 billion after receiving over UAH 2.4 billion during the month. Since the account was opened on 24 February 2022, it has received over UAH 86.3 billion from individuals and businesses in Ukraine and abroad, including the equivalent of almost UAH 64.8 billion remitted from overseas in foreign currencies. Cumulative allocations for defence needs totalled almost UAH 82.3 billion, led by funding for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (over UAH 39.069 billion) and the Defence Procurement Agency (over UAH 27.233 billion), alongside allocations to the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection (over UAH 8.181 billion), the National Guard (over UAH 1.649 billion) and the National Police (UAH 1.65 billion). The update also recorded returns of previously unused funds in September 2025, including over UAH 333 million from the Ministry of Defense and almost UAH 18.6 million from the State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection.
