The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan has signed a memorandum of understanding with Türkiye’s Insurance and Private Pensions Regulation and Supervision Agency (SÖPTNA), setting a framework to expand cooperation in insurance-sector regulation and supervision, including information exchange and technical assistance. The memorandum is intended to support the integrity and efficiency of the insurance and reinsurance markets and to enable mutual consultations in the performance of market oversight functions. It also envisages training and technical assistance to support development of the regulatory and legal framework in both countries, including training programmes, seminars, internships and technical assistance projects, following discussions on insurance-sector developments and digitalisation trends.
