The National Bank of Georgia, in cooperation with J.P. Morgan, hosted the region’s first central bank governors’ roundtable in Tbilisi, bringing together senior representatives from up to 15 countries, development organizations and the financial sector. The meeting focused on regional macroeconomic conditions, monetary policy challenges and responses to global economic shifts. Participants exchanged approaches to maintaining price and financial stability and discussed asset and international reserve management amid geopolitical challenges. Separate sessions examined prospects for developing local capital markets, with the forum intended to deepen cooperation among regional central banks.
