The Central Bank of Brunei Darussalam (BDCB), working with Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), Baiduri Bank Berhad (BBB), Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) and Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB), is conducting a public survey to support the development of Brunei Darussalam’s Digital Payment Roadmap (2026–2030). The survey runs from 21 July to 10 September 2025. The survey is designed to assess usage, preferences, challenges and awareness relating to digital payments, with results intended to shape strategies for the forthcoming roadmap. Distribution will be both online via BDCB’s website and in person, including via participating banks for walk-in or selected customers. BDCB stated responses will be confidential and that it will collect no personal information beyond demographic data (age group, place of residence at kampong level, gender, employment status and monthly income), and warned the public to be wary of impersonation attempts seeking additional personal or financial information.
