The Central Bank of Latvia has granted an investment firm licence to SIA C Capital Markets, a subsidiary of AS Citadele banka. The licence allows the company to provide the investment service of placing financial instruments without a firm commitment basis and the ancillary service of providing services related to the initial allocation of financial instruments. The central bank said the licence was issued by its Supervision Committee on 22 July and followed pre-licensing engagement, with the formal application processed in less than a month. It added that 12 investment firms now hold an operating licence and pointed prospective applicants to its licensing guide and pre-licensing consultations to support compliance with licensing requirements.
