European Central Bank Banking Supervision published an updated public list of supervised entities under the Single Supervisory Mechanism, with changes in group structures reflected up to the cut-off date of 1 March 2026. The update confirms 111 significant entities that are directly supervised by the ECB. The list distinguishes significant supervised entities from less significant supervised entities, and identifies each entity’s type and, where relevant, the approval or exemption status for financial holding companies and mixed financial holding companies. Changes highlighted since the last update include Eurobank S.A. becoming the highest level of consolidation within the SSM following the merger of Eurobank Ergasias Services and Holdings S.A. into its subsidiary, DZ PRIVATBANK S.A. changing its legal name to DZ PRIVATBANK AG, Oldenburgische Landesbank Aktiengesellschaft remaining significant while moving into the significant supervised group headed by Confédération Nationale du Crédit Mutuel following an acquisition by Targo Deutschland GmbH, and 365.bank, a.s. being classified as significant as part of KBC Group NV after KBC Bank NV acquired a majority stake. The ECB also notes an Italian cooperative bank merger resulting in the renamed Banca Colli Albani e Nettuno Credito Cooperativo.
