The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP) published its Monthly Synthesis report with supervised insurance sector data through November 2024, showing BRL 33.06 billion in revenues for November and BRL 394.16 billion year-to-date, up 12.3% compared with the same period in 2023. The report shows BRL 19.4 billion returned to society in November via claims, redemptions, benefits and prize draws, taking the cumulative total to BRL 221.04 billion. Damage and personal insurance (excluding VGBL) generated BRL 188.55 billion in the first eleven months of 2024 (up 10.61%), including BRL 5.94 billion for “other property insurance” (up 19%). VGBL contributions reached BRL 12.49 billion in November and BRL 162.75 billion from January to November (up 16.3%), while capitalisation products collected BRL 28.66 billion over the same period (up 4.8%).
