Saudi Arabia’s Insurance Authority hosted King Saud University students at its Riyadh headquarters to explain its regulatory mandate, the insurance sector’s legislative framework and core aspects of insurance contracts, claims and disputes. The visit formed part of the authority’s efforts to improve insurance literacy and prepare Saudi nationals for careers in the sector. The authority also reviewed its 2025 workforce initiatives, including a Lloyd’s Academy training program for more than 95 insurance professionals, a master’s scholarship program with Bayes Business School and support for the Future Actuaries Connect initiative. Saudi Arabia’s insurance market provides more than 17,000 jobs, with a nationalization rate above 85%, and the number of professionals is expected to double over the next five years.
