The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority hosted the FRA Fintech Forum 2025 as part of its efforts to build strategic partnerships and open dialogue with market participants on the challenges and opportunities facing digitalisation and financial technology. Egypt’s Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk opened the forum with an overview of the Ministry of Finance and the Egyptian Tax Authority’s work to advance digital transformation and improve tax services, particularly for startups and e-commerce businesses, including planned packages of tax facilitation and incentives. The Egyptian Tax Authority’s e-commerce unit engaged attendees through a dedicated stand, answering queries on simplified tax compliance, electronic registration processes, and available facilitation for startups and local and foreign digital platforms, alongside technical and awareness support.
