The Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) announced it has received strategic, multi-year grant funding from The Rockefeller Foundation, which will also join the TNFD Stewardship Council. The funding is intended to support TNFD’s second phase of work, including driving voluntary market adoption of its recommendations. The grant is set to underpin market capacity-building interventions and the development of a roadmap to enhance access to high-quality nature-related data. TNFD’s recommendations, published in September 2023, are designed to help companies and financial institutions incorporate nature beyond climate into decision-making across governance, strategy, risk management and capital allocation; TNFD reports support from over 1,600 organisations, including more than 500 organisations representing over USD 17 trillion in assets under management (AUM) committed to reporting aligned with the TNFD recommendations.
