The Central Bank of Iceland and Banque de France have signed an agreement to use educational content from EDUCFI, France’s national financial literacy strategy, to improve public understanding of financial and economic matters in Iceland. Banque de France will provide financial literacy materials that the Central Bank of Iceland will adapt to local conditions and the needs of different target groups. The agreement will also establish regular exchanges on financial education methods and the development of educational materials. The initiative will expand the Central Bank of Iceland’s existing resources for students, teachers and consumers, with a focus on supporting personal financial decision making and understanding of inflation, monetary policy and central bank policies.
