The Argentina Securities Commission announced that its president, Roberto E. Silva, has begun a second term as representative of the Inter-American Regional Committee (IARC) at the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) for 2026 to 2028, after members re-elected him at IOSCO's 51st Annual Meeting. The reappointment keeps Argentina represented in IOSCO's governing and standard-setting body through the regional committee for North, Central and South America. During the virtual annual meeting, held from 11 to 19 May, Silva took part in IARC, GEMC, MMOU Group and IOSCO Board plenary sessions. Discussions covered regional capital-market development and IOSCO workstreams on market developments and risks, operational resilience, artificial intelligence in capital markets, market liquidity, secondary-market disclosure and supervisory tools.
