The National Bank of Ukraine reported that its special defense fundraising account had received nearly UAH 170 billion since it opened on Feb. 24, 2022, reflecting continued inflows and disbursements through 2026. The account received more than UAH 9.9 billion in August and held almost UAH 13 billion as of Sept. 1, 2026. Foreign-currency transfers from abroad accounted for the equivalent of more than UAH 147.6 billion of cumulative receipts. The NBU has allocated almost UAH 158.1 billion to defense needs, led by more than UAH 100.9 billion for the Defence Procurement Agency and UAH 38.5 billion for the Ministry of Defence, alongside funding for other security, intelligence and emergency-response bodies.

The National Bank of Ukraine reported nearly UAH 170 billion in cumulative receipts through its special defense fundraising account, including more than UAH 9.9 billion received in August. Almost UAH 158.1 billion has been allocated to defense needs, while the account balance stood at nearly UAH 13 billion as of Sept. 1, 2026.
