Discussion topics included modernising financial market infrastructure, connecting the central securities depository to regional platforms, facilitating access for foreign investors, and deepening transparency and digitalisation across the financial ecosystem. The National Bank delegation, led by Governor Anca Dragu, attended the Central and Eastern Europe Forum in Vienna on 13–14 January 2026, where Constantinescu also highlighted recent developments cited as supporting investor interest, including an improved sovereign rating to “BB-/B”, broad adoption of the MIA Instant Payments system, and Moldova’s accession to SEPA.
