The Montenegro Capital Market Authority reported that its president, Zeljko Drincic, met OECD Finance and Entrepreneurship Directorate Director Carmine Di Noia in Paris to discuss financial literacy and the authority’s education work. The talks centered on measures aimed at young people, the use of modern educational tools and raising public understanding of capital markets and the financial system in Montenegro. Drincic presented the authority’s results under its 2023-2027 financial education development program, including the "Kapital" social board game, workshops for primary and secondary school students, digital educational content and stronger cooperation with educational institutions and international partners. The meeting also examined ways to deepen cooperation with the OECD through exchanges of experience and good practices and through closer alignment of the authority’s activities with international standards on financial education and investor protection. The authority said the meeting opened scope for stronger technical cooperation and potential participation in broader OECD regional and international networks and projects. Drincic also invited Di Noia to visit Montenegro and take part in the Fourth International Conference "Montenegro Financial Markets".
