The Central Bank of Paraguay has invited Paraguayan third-year secondary students from schools recognized by the Ministry of Education and Sciences to enter the seventh Central Banking Competition, a video contest designed to build interest and understanding in economic and financial topics. This year’s theme is “Savings as a healthy habit.” Entries may be submitted individually or by groups of up to three students, must be accompanied by a teacher tutor, and are limited to one audiovisual submission per entry. Video submissions will be accepted from May 1 to July 31, 2025, followed by evaluation and selection from Aug. 1 to Aug. 29, 2025. Preselected videos will then be posted on the BCP Educa Facebook account for public voting from Sept. 1 to Sept. 12, 2025, with the three highest-voted videos to be announced on Sept. 24. Prize money totals PYG 22.8 million across students and teachers, with student awards of PYG 8.2 million, PYG 5.5 million and PYG 2.8 million for first through third place, and teacher awards of PYG 2.8 million, PYG 2.1 million and PYG 1.4 million.
