The Central Bank of Türkiye took part in the second meeting of the Council of Central Banks of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States in Baku, where participants reviewed central bank monetary and financial policy responses to global and regional risks and discussed the development of digital financial ecosystems. The council reaffirmed cooperation among member states and agreed that the Central Bank of Türkiye will host the third meeting in 2027. Governor Fatih Karahan signed the meeting communiqué alongside the governors of the central banks of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, and the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan. The meeting was chaired by the Governor of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and was also attended by observer members Hungary and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, as well as the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States.
