The release includes the April 2026 data file, a back series covering March 2019 to April 2026, and the existing glossary. APRA also notes that balance sheet data before July 2019 were published in the Monthly Banking Statistics, while data before March 2002 were published in the Australian Banking Statistics. A series break exists between those older publications because bank reporting requirements changed in March 2002, including the treatment of resident and non-resident data, foreign currency transactions, and intra-group deposits and loans. The next release, covering May 2026, is scheduled for 30 June 2026.
