Egypt's Financial Regulatory Authority published its investment fund performance report for the second quarter of 2026, showing net assets increased by EGP 60.28 billion from the end of March to EGP 470.9 billion at the end of June. Total assets under management rose 13.96% to about EGP 479 billion, while the number of fund units increased 40.16% to 44.04 billion. Individuals held 74.7% of fund units, compared with 24.3% for legal entities and 1% reserved for founding entities. Following a revised fund classification aligned with the Egyptian Investment Management Association and the recent launch of 15 funds, the market comprised 224 funds at the end of June. Sector and thematic funds recorded the highest average second-quarter returns at 18.82% and 18.78%, respectively, followed by index funds at 18.35%.
