The Bank of Cape Verde participated in the 14th edition of Global Money Week, a global financial awareness campaign organised by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development through its International Network on Financial Education, which spans 176 countries. At the invitation of Portugal’s Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Authority, it joined a joint activity with member countries of the Association of Lusophone Insurance Supervisors. Under the theme “Smart Money Talks”, the activity engaged young people from the Community of Portuguese Language Countries to produce videos sharing testimonials about financial choices. Cape Verde was represented by the teenagers Daniela Garcia and Héricles Tavares. The release frames Global Money Week as an annual initiative focused on helping children and young people develop financial awareness from an early age.
