The Hong Kong Insurance Authority has issued an alert about a phishing email sent from “info@prudential-hk.site” that directs recipients to a fraudulent website designed to obtain personal and credit card information. The website purports to be the official site of Prudential Hong Kong Limited, and Prudential has confirmed it has no connection to the email or website. The matter has been reported to the Hong Kong Police Force for investigation. The Insurance Authority advised anyone who has provided information to the fraudsters or conducted transactions through them to contact Prudential and report the case to the Police, and it referred the public to its Register of Authorized Insurers for the official list of authorized insurers in Hong Kong.
