The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan reported that the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan has approved a 2026–2030 programme to raise the population’s financial literacy and strengthen protection of consumers’ legal rights and interests in financial services. The central bank will implement a series of measures with support from the government, working with relevant ministries and agencies, financial institutions and development partners. The programme is framed as increasingly important given broader financial inclusion, growing non-cash payments and the rapid development of digital financial services, with an emphasis on promoting prudent personal finance decision-making, protecting citizens as investors and consumers, and improving living standards through the use of quality financial products and services.
