The Central Bank of Cyprus published Monetary Financial Institutions (MFI) deposit and loan statistics for June 2025, showing an acceleration in both deposit inflows and loan growth compared with May. Total deposits increased by a net EUR 654.7 million (annual growth 7.1%) to EUR 56.6 billion, while total loans rose by a net EUR 672.3 million (annual growth 6.8%) to EUR 26.3 billion. Deposits of Cyprus residents increased by EUR 652.7 million, including a EUR 465.3 million rise in non-financial corporations’ deposits and a EUR 39.6 million increase in household deposits, while other domestic sectors increased by EUR 147.8 million. Loans to Cyprus residents increased by EUR 471.1 million, with households up EUR 110.1 million and non-financial corporations up EUR 216.9 million, while other domestic sectors increased by EUR 144.1 million; the reported net changes represent transactions and exclude reclassifications, foreign exchange and other adjustments.
