The Australian Securities & Investments Commission secured Supreme Court of New South Wales orders requiring Liberty Primary Metals Australia Pty Ltd, Tahmoor Coal Pty Ltd and Liberty Bell Bay Pty Ltd, all part of the GFG Alliance Group, to lodge outstanding annual reports with ASIC. By consent orders made on 17 July 2025, Liberty Primary Metals Australia and Tahmoor Coal must file their overdue 2024 financial year reports by 22 August 2025. Liberty Bell Bay must lodge its 2021, 2022 and 2023 reports by 3 October 2025 and its 2024 report by 31 October 2025. ASIC noted that large proprietary companies with a 30 June financial year-end are generally required to lodge annual reports by 31 October, and that timely reporting supports creditors and other users in making informed decisions when dealing with large companies.
