The State Bank of Pakistan reported that workers’ remittances reached USD 3.6 billion in September 2026, up 12.7% from a year earlier but down 1.9% from August. Cumulative inflows increased 14% to USD 10.9 billion in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, compared with USD 9.5 billion in the same period a year earlier. Saudi Arabia was the largest remittance source in September at USD 899.1 million, followed by the United Arab Emirates at USD 748.5 million, the United Kingdom at USD 515.1 million and the United States at USD 305.9 million.
