The Bank of Greece released statistics on occupational pension funds for the fourth quarter of 2025, showing total assets rising by 3.4% quarter on quarter to EUR 2,833 million (from EUR 2,741 million). Deposits increased by EUR 15 million to EUR 97 million, lifting their share of total assets to 3.4% from 3.0%. Holdings of debt securities rose to EUR 1,186 million, mainly reflecting net purchases of domestic bonds, while their share of assets fell to 41.9% from 42.5%. Investment fund shares increased to EUR 1,026 million due to net purchases and higher valuations of foreign funds, raising their share to 36.2% from 35.7%. Equity holdings declined slightly to EUR 464 million as net sales were almost offset by valuation gains, reducing their share to 16.4% from 17.0%. The next press release covering first-quarter 2026 pension fund statistics is scheduled for 15 June 2026.
