The Thailand Securities and Exchange Commission has filed a criminal complaint with the Economic Crime Suppression Division against As Sure Technology Co., Ltd. and four related individuals for allegedly operating the Vcex.io digital asset exchange without a license. It also referred the platform to the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, with public access to be blocked from November 7, 2026. The regulator found that As Sure and related individuals operated the website and VCEX application from December 24, 2021, to September 2, 2022, matching users’ digital asset orders and charging fees. The Thai language platform was promoted through events in Thailand and online. The complaint names the company, three directors or persons responsible for its operations, and another individual involved in providing the services. The case will proceed through investigation, potential prosecution and court adjudication. The access block falls under powers permitting the ministry to restrict unlicensed digital asset trading platforms to protect investors and prevent their use for money laundering.
