The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) participated in the Argentina Hydrocarbons 2025 International Congress and Exhibition and used a panel on unlocking investment in Argentina’s hydrocarbons sector to present regulatory innovations aimed at modernising the capital market and widening financing alternatives for oil and gas. Israel Borgnia Villacorta, Deputy Manager for Investor Protection and Financial Education within the Corporate Governance and Investor Protection Directorate, highlighted measures approved by the CNV Board including tokenisation, dual listings and an automatic authorisation process for public offerings, describing them as mechanisms to expand investment opportunities and speed access to capital. The panel also included representatives from Mendoza’s hydrocarbons authority, Pan American Energy and EMESA, and the event convened more than 200 senior industry executives, regulators, government representatives, suppliers and investors.
