The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance published its monthly bulletin of key insurance sector indicators for September 2025, reporting that SUSEP-supervised activity totalled BRL 313.09bn from January to September 2025, down 3.43% in nominal terms from the same period in 2024. Across the first nine months of 2025, indemnities, surrenders, benefits and prize draws totalled BRL 198.61bn, up 9.72% nominally year on year. Property and personal insurance (excluding VGBL) generated BRL 164.82bn in revenues through September, a nominal increase of 7.45% versus the same period of 2024. Within personal insurance, life insurance grew 12.13% in nominal terms and 6.59% in real terms, while auto insurance grew 6.12% nominally and 0.89% in real terms.
