The Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission has cleared Mynt Inc.’s initial public offering of up to PHP 92.32 billion, subject to compliance with remaining requirements. The transaction is the first to qualify for a reduced minimum initial public float of 12%, rather than 15%, under rules for issuers with an exceptionally large expected market capitalization. Mynt’s expected market capitalization at listing is PHP 668.96 billion, exceeding the PHP 200 billion threshold for the lower float requirement. The offer comprises up to 1.61 billion primary shares, 6.42 billion shares sold by a shareholder and an overallotment option of up to 1.20 billion shares, priced at up to PHP 10 each. The total offer is expected to generate net proceeds of up to PHP 89.25 billion, including about PHP 14.95 billion from the primary offer for digital financial services growth, product development and general corporate purposes. The offer period is scheduled for Oct. 6-12, with issuance and listing on the Philippine Stock Exchange’s Main Board under the ticker GCASH planned for Oct. 20.
