Moldova's Ministry of Finance published an update on the Agricultural Credit Facility (FCA), reporting that 408 micro and small enterprises in the agricultural sector were financed between March 2025 and March 2026, including 50 approvals in March 2026. Total on-lent resources under the programme reached MDL 382.6 million, with MDL 36.9 million allocated in March 2026, alongside a grant component of MDL 44.2 million (MDL 6.06 million in March). Approved projects primarily covered equipment for conventional agriculture (296 projects), followed by conservation agriculture (60) and post-harvest processing equipment (52). Regionally, 197 projects (48.3%) were financed in the north, 139 (34.1%) in the centre, and 72 (17.6%) in the south; the programme offers MDL on-lending at a fixed 5.1% annual interest rate and is implemented by OGPAE through partner financial institutions. For 2026, the programme has MDL 183.16 million available for loans and MDL 15.75 million available for grants to continue financing eligible projects.
