Payments Canada has approved uSecure Escrow Solutions Inc. (DoBusiness.com), an enterprise banking software-as-a-service provider, for membership, making it the latest payment service provider (PSP) to join the organization. The approval follows the admission of five PSP members earlier in the year and reflects expanded eligibility under federal changes to the Canadian Payments Act, which opened Payments Canada membership to PSPs supervised under the Retail Payment Activities Act (RPAA). Membership provides a role in shaping the policies, by-laws, rules and standards for Canada’s national payment systems. As a new PSP member, DoBusiness.com can apply to participate in Payments Canada-operated payment systems, including the forthcoming Real-Time Rail (RTR), subject to meeting Payments Canada’s technical, operational and security requirements.
