Banks will not send SMS messages or emails containing links that direct customers to their websites to conduct transactions, or request login passwords or one-time passwords by phone, email or SMS. Anyone who has disclosed personal information or conducted transactions in response to these scams should contact the relevant bank and report the matter to the Hong Kong Police Force.
